Button Bracelets

Do you love buttons? Well who doesn't! Whether you are crafty or not, you probably have a stash of buttons laying around. You can use reclaimed up-cycled buttons, vintage & out-of-the-ordinary, handmade into unique button bracelets.  I have found a simple craft idea that you can use your buttons. What you will need, some hat elastic buttons and scissors.

Cut a length of hat elastic about 60cm long, fold it in half and tie a loop knot in the end. Leaving the other ends free to slip your buttons on.

I decided on a natural palette for my bracelet, when you have picked out your buttons, thread them  onto the elastic tying a knot after each button so they don't slip and move.

To finish simply tie a knot in the end, then you new bracelet is ready to wear. Put the button bracelet around your wrist then pull the lop over the the last button, then Ta-dahh! you have you new bracelet.

I love the way it looks, but next time I will put the buttons closer so not so much of the elastic is showing.

  8. That's so simple, I think even I could make one of those! I'd have to collect buttons first though - I only have small set of 'spares' that come with clothes - all black, nothing pretty! A great, simple idea!

  10. What a great craft project, I do have a lot of buttons some of them truly vintage as they belonged to my mother-in-law who's had them around for 30 or more years. I might give this a go.
