Scavenger Hunt March (2015)

These are my photos for this months Scavenger Hunt If you would like to join in, just leave a link on the Scavenger Hunt  page to your photos collection, on your  Blog. That way we can all see and enjoy them. I now have a Scavenger Hunt Button on my home page, that will link back to the Scavenger hunt page, It would be great if you could use the button on your Blogs.
Well I have to admit that this has been another really hard month in our house so some of these photos are from my archives.

Circle: The circle of the setting sun.

Card:
I didn't know if I would use this photo for card or a favourite word.

Window:
The back window of a done up truck.

Art:
Art made from the inner tube of bike tires.

Skyline:
These seagulls were sitting on part of the Sydney Opera what a view there had of our beautiful skyline.

A favourite word:
Mum is a favourite word having only one son I tell him it's a word only he can call me, and I have a fabulous mum also.

Movement:
Master M moving as fast as he could through the water at the Zone swimming carnival.

Bathroom:
We had to pay to go to the bathroom in Fiji.

Car:
The car we hired in Hawaii was such fun.

Plate:
A Hawaiian number plate with my husbands initials.

Something you made:
Well I'm in the middle of making this cross stitch.

Whatever you want:
We headed out to Penrith on Sunday to see the filed of poppies they have made there to remember all the Australian soldiers that had given their life for our country.

  1. Oh my, I love all your photos. You really captured beauty in all of them. I visited Australia a few years ago and it's one of my favorite places in the whole world. I loved it! This is such a beautiful cross stitch you are creating. I wish I had your talent. Greetings from southern California :)

  3. Hi Jill! I'm sorry that you've had another hard month! We all go through these rough patches. I hope things lighten up for you soon. You came up with great photos, even if you had to dip into the archives. The poppy photo evoked such strong feelings in me. It is such a poignant, but beautiful symbol of the sacrifices so many men and women made during the wars. The recycled tire art is fascinating, but I have to admit that it creeps me out a little. I have birds in my skyline photo too!

I'm trying to catch up on everything at home after being gone for a month. Yikes! I'm co-hosting for the Insecure Writer's Support Group tomorrow, so I won't be able to get around to all the scavenger hunt photos until Thursday. But I will, because I love seeing everyone's photos!

By the way, your photo of the malasadas drove me to seek out Leonard's Bakery. I had never heard of either of them until your post. OMG! Heaven in my mouth! I won't be able to go to Honolulu without a visit to Leonard's!

Thanks for making this hunt possible. I know it's work and a commitment, but I really appreciate it. Take care!

  5. Great photos Jill. I nearly picked Mum as my word, mine is gone nearly four years now and I miss her so much. Stunning shots of the setting sun and poppy field.

  6. A great set of photos. The poppy park is beautiful; I went to see the poppy installation at the Tower of London last year and it was a very emotional experience.

I love your cross stitch - I've never had the patience to finish one, so I look forward to seeing the completed embroidery!
