Well I have to admit that this has been another really hard month in our house so some of these photos are from my archives.
Circle: The circle of the setting sun.
Card:
I didn't know if I would use this photo for card or a favourite word.
Window:
The back window of a done up truck.
Art:
Art made from the inner tube of bike tires.
Skyline:
These seagulls were sitting on part of the Sydney Opera what a view there had of our beautiful skyline.
A favourite word:
Mum is a favourite word having only one son I tell him it's a word only he can call me, and I have a fabulous mum also.
Movement:
Master M moving as fast as he could through the water at the Zone swimming carnival.
Bathroom:
We had to pay to go to the bathroom in Fiji.
Car:
The car we hired in Hawaii was such fun.
Plate:
A Hawaiian number plate with my husbands initials.
Something you made:
Well I'm in the middle of making this cross stitch.
Whatever you want:
We headed out to Penrith on Sunday to see the filed of poppies they have made there to remember all the Australian soldiers that had given their life for our country.
Oh my, I love all your photos. You really captured beauty in all of them. I visited Australia a few years ago and it's one of my favorite places in the whole world. I loved it! This is such a beautiful cross stitch you are creating. I wish I had your talent. Greetings from southern California :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post and pics ..... The pics of Art is impressive (as an old cyclist ....!!!:-))) I know now what to do with my tires ....). Have a lovely week !
ReplyDeleteHi Jill! I'm sorry that you've had another hard month! We all go through these rough patches. I hope things lighten up for you soon. You came up with great photos, even if you had to dip into the archives. The poppy photo evoked such strong feelings in me. It is such a poignant, but beautiful symbol of the sacrifices so many men and women made during the wars. The recycled tire art is fascinating, but I have to admit that it creeps me out a little. I have birds in my skyline photo too!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to catch up on everything at home after being gone for a month. Yikes! I'm co-hosting for the Insecure Writer's Support Group tomorrow, so I won't be able to get around to all the scavenger hunt photos until Thursday. But I will, because I love seeing everyone's photos!
By the way, your photo of the malasadas drove me to seek out Leonard's Bakery. I had never heard of either of them until your post. OMG! Heaven in my mouth! I won't be able to go to Honolulu without a visit to Leonard's!
Thanks for making this hunt possible. I know it's work and a commitment, but I really appreciate it. Take care!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the malasadas, I really liked the custard filled ones the best so very tasty.
DeleteHey Jill, sorry you have had a rough month, I hope things improve this month. Your photos are great. I like the reasonijng behind Mum and the circle and poppies are beautiful. I'm a bit behind with these, will have to catch up!x
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Jill. I nearly picked Mum as my word, mine is gone nearly four years now and I miss her so much. Stunning shots of the setting sun and poppy field.
ReplyDeleteA great set of photos. The poppy park is beautiful; I went to see the poppy installation at the Tower of London last year and it was a very emotional experience.
ReplyDeleteI love your cross stitch - I've never had the patience to finish one, so I look forward to seeing the completed embroidery!
PS I forgot to mention your cross stitch...it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos.

I love your collection especially the art work from old tyres - so pretty from something so plain and ordinary. Have a wonderful Easter xx
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better now and had a lovely Easter. A great set of photos - each image is so different so it's difficult to pick favourites, but I like the first and the last.
