Raspberry Clafoutis

I'm Trying to repost some of my recipes that I have published, they are showing up in draft form.

Raspberry Clafoutis

While I was doing the ironing and watching T.V, I saw this Raspberry Clafoutis being made. I had all the ingredients and so I thought I would make this for dessert. It was easy to make and was so light to eat, not so sweet just what I felt like. A claftouis is a rustic French baked dessert, you can also make it with cherries, plums blueberries or apple.

Raspberry Clafoutis

1/2 cup plain flour (all-purpose)
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
pinch of salt
3 eggs
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk
3 cups raspberries

Preheat the oven to 180 c. Butter a 9 inch dish and sprinkle with sugar.
In an a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, and salt.
Whisk in eggs, milk and melted butter.
Poor the batter over the raspberries that you have placed in the bottom of the dish.
Bake for about 30mins, or until set and golden.
I served ours dusted with icing sugar and with creme that I added a little bit of sugar and a few raspberries to.
Enjoy

  1. I love Clafoutis and must try this as it looks yummy. Are your cup sizes the same as English or American? I have both in my cupboard but some recipes don't say which and there's a definite variation in quantities/weights.
