Flemington Markets

Yesterday we headed out to Flemington markets, it's a produce market where fresh fruit and veggies are sold by the box full at low prices, buyers can come and by in bulk or you can just get a few things. There were pungent smell, vibrant colours, exotic faces where fever-piched voices jostle for attention. We wandered around filling our carry bags with new and interesting fruit and veg. Eating handfuls of freshly roasted peanuts as we made our way back to the car.

Victoria Markets

Day two we headed off to Queen Victoria Market in with our dear friend Ness.It is Victoria's premier open-air market. It's a thriving and vital place pulsating with life.

The friendly competition between stallholders, and their concern for customers, is what gives the Market its' Old World charm and the addictive power to draw millions of visitors each year.

The vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere of this historic site has endeared the Market to Melburnians for 130 years. The Market is probably best known for its huge variety of fresh produce and it's historic meat hall.

Balmain again

Saturday started off bright and early. We headed off to Balmain markets, I was looking for an old straight edged butter knife for my my cake course, we found a few. It was a good market with lots of brick a brack, new things, food, and plants to to keep us looking for a few hours. We then headed down Darling Street with me telling the guys that it's not to far to walk I must have forgotten that it was quite a walk, especially in the hot  sun. We went to Adriano Zumbo's patisserie. Mr P liked it to Willy Wonker's as the cakes are not what you think. We had a Macaroon that tasted like Green curry quite strange. We headed back to the markets for some lunch. Stopped in at Mum's and a skate park on the way home. What a great day we had.

Cobbity Markets

Hi, just let me start off by telling you that our computer was infected by 2 viruses so it was down for a while. We had to wait to see if a friend could help, then with no luck we had to take the computer to the shop to be cleaned. Such a pain these hacker people, hopefully it's all fixed now.
Yesterday we spent a lovely day at Cobbity markets near Narrellan. We wandered around in the sunshine looking at all that was on offer. I had a taste of the Macaroons and the boys tasted the Chocolate brownies.  Very yummy. It was great to see all the hand made items that were on offer. We finished the day off with a chizoro roll and chicken roll.
All the the photos were taken by Master M on his i pod, as my camera had a flat battery.

I am glad to back online blogging!
