Manly

A guest post from Mr P: We braved Sydney's cold and rain and got out to visit Australia's Army Artillery Museum at North Head Manly. Our guide took us down underground into tunnels which connected the two large guns Sydney had to protect the harbour. We explored the storage areas which housed the big shells and Master M the strongman picked one up (actually a plastic replica ). A great fun day overall and we learnt alot more about the history of Sydney but also about the army artillery and the chance to speak with veterans who dedicate their own time as volunteers to run the museum and restore the old guns and pieces.

  1. Isn't it a privilege to meet war veterans. I really think so. Sometimes I am very moved by the stories they have to tell and what they have been through.
Great place to visit. Thanks for sharing.
