Elephants

Elephants are important in Thai culture, they are a symbol of Royalty, and very important to the Buddhist way of life.Today we went for a elephant ride for an hour, it was so very peaceful. They are so very big but majestic animals. Master M got to sit on the elephants neck for most of the trip and Mr P got to on the way back, I was left to sit and sway from side to side. A once in a life time thing to do.

  1. Just catching up on your holiday posts. It looks absolutely wonderful and somewhere I would LOVE to visit. I actually booked a holiday to Phuket 12 years ago but circumstances meant I had to cancel it :( but I will get there one day. Enjoy! M x

  13. You are right. How many people get to say they have been on and elephant and were able to ride for an hour. Amazing!
