Dog Biscuits

Now you may think I have gone to the dogs, but I thought I would make theses doggies biscuits for our two little ones. Well I have to cook there meals because Rosie gets a funny tummy when she eats commercial dog food. So why not try making there treats as well, a least I know whats in them.

2 cups wholemeal flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
270g peanut butter
1 cup low fat milk

preheat oven to 190C, Stir together the flour and baking powder, adding peanut butter and milk and mix until combined. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead till smooth. Roll out to a 1cm thickness and cut into shapes, I used a dog bone and a little dog cookie cutters. ( I don't think the dogs care what shape they are) Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden.

They were wolfed down in seconds.

  1. I'm sure they were much appreciated and look very aptly shaped. Also lets others in the household know who the goodies are for, although they sound edible to the rest of us as well. ;)

    1. A girlfriend baked some for her dog, and her husband ate one then told her the biscuits weren't up to her usual standard, well they were for the dog.

  9. I tried making some dog biscuits recently, I don't think they were as popular as yours. They started to go mouldy, how many biscuits did you make?
